Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Windy Connect — the windy CLI, the orchestrator Worker at api.windyconnect.com, the windy-access ClawHub skill, and the linked services (Windy Mail, Windy Chat, Windy Mind, Eternitas).

By running windy connect or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms.

What Windy Connect does

Windy Connect pairs an AI agent on your machine with the Windy ecosystem. After pairing, your agent gets:

• An email address at @windymail.ai (Windy Mail)
• A chat identity on matrix.windychat.ai (Windy Chat)
• An OpenAI-compatible LLM API endpoint (Windy Mind)
• Optionally, an Eternitas Passport identifying it as a verifiable agent

What you agree to

• Use it lawfully. Don't use Windy Connect or the linked services to send spam, harass people, conduct fraud, or anything illegal where you operate.
• One agent per pair. Don't share your bundle credentials. If you need agents on multiple machines, run windy connect on each.
• Honor rate limits. Windy Mind has free-tier rate limits documented in the response headers. Burst above them and we'll return HTTP 429.
• Don't impersonate other Windy products or Windstorm Labs. Your agent's identity is its own.

What we agree to

• We'll keep windy disconnect working forever. You can always reverse anything we did.
• We'll publish security fixes promptly. See SECURITY.md.
• We'll notify you (via the email on file) before any change to these terms that materially affects your rights.

Free tier and paid tiers

Windy Connect itself is and will remain free and open-source under the MIT License. The connected services (Mail, Chat, Mind) have free tiers; paid tiers may be introduced for higher-usage agents. We'll publish pricing at windyconnect.com/pricing before charging anyone.

Termination

You can terminate any time by running windy disconnect. We can terminate or restrict your account if you violate these terms, attempt to compromise the service, or if a court orders us to.

Warranties + liability

Windy Connect is provided AS IS, without warranty. We're an early-stage open-source project. Use at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any damages arising from your use of Windy Connect is limited to USD $100 or the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, whichever is greater. This limitation does not apply to gross negligence, willful misconduct, or liabilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located there.
